The 2023 Ryder Cup, the most important international team competition in golf, tees off for the first time in Italy at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome, from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1. Costa Cruises, the official cruise line of the competition, is on-site with its own dedicated space inside the Ryder Cup Village (number 13), where visitors can put their golf skills to the test in Costa’s ‘putting challenge’ game. Guests sailing on Costa’s flagships Costa Toscana and Costa Smeralda, will experience the excitement of the Ryder Cup with spectator admission to the final days of the tournament.

To celebrate this exclusive partnership, Costa Cruises is highlighting its one-of-a-kind “Cruise & Golf” package aboard Costa Toscana and Costa Smeralda, the most innovative ships in Costa’s fleet. The “Cruise & Golf” formula offers guests an unforgettable cruise and the opportunity to play at some of the most prestigious golf clubs in the Mediterranean and the United Arab Emirates. This experience is perfect for small groups of golf enthusiasts to play together and share their passion for the sport.

While cruising the Mediterranean on Costa Smeralda and Costa Toscana, guests can choose to play up to four of the 24 most popular golf courses in Italy, France and Spain, such as the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, home of the 2023 Ryder Cup, the Circolo del Golf Roma Acquasanta, the Golf Club Garlenda in Savona, the Golf Club Genova Sant’Anna, the Real Club de Golf El Prat in Barcelona, the Son Gual Golf in Palma de Mallorca, and the Golf Bastide de la Salette in Marseille. During the winter 2023 and 2024 season aboard Costa Toscana, guests will have the chance to discover up to four of the 15 most famous international golf clubs in the Arab Emirates, Oman and Doha, including the Emirates Golf Club or ‘The Els Club’ in Dubai, the Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Yas Links Golf Club in Abu Dhabi, the Almouj Golf Club and the Ghala Golf Club in Muscat, and the Doha Golf Club.

From spring 2024, Costa Toscana will return to the Mediterranean for one-week cruises to Savona, Marseille, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca (Ibiza during the summer), Palermo, and Civitavecchia.
