Costa Cruises announces major shipboard improvements on Costa Magica and Costa Pacifica to further enhance the cruise experience offered to its guests.
In addition to regular maintenance during the dry docking at Forme 10 dock of Chantier Naval de Marseille at the Port of Marseille Fos, both ships will receive important upgrades in the public areas and the addition of new features to ensure an even more thrilling experience for guests.
Costa Magica, which left Marseille from its dry dock on Nov. 25, underwent a major refurbishment of the restaurants and wellness areas. Changes to the layout and upgrades in the galleys in the Vicenza Club Restaurant and Bellagio Buffet Restaurant will enable guests in suites and Costa Club Diamond Pearl members to more fully enjoy the Club Restaurant, while the Buffet Bellagio Restaurant has been improved with a more efficient space allocation. The spa’s wellness and gym spaces were renovated and a sauna, thalassotherapy pool and thermal area were added to enhance the spa experience.
On Costa Pacifica, which is dry docked from Nov. 26 to Dec. 7, new digital signage will be installed including new high-resolution monitors and interactive screens featuring different functions to assist in guests’ orientation on the ship and to inform them about different events and activities; advertise promotions on products and services available; and promote educational initiatives and campaigns.
The renovations also include the addition of Pizzeria Pummid’Oro on Costa Pacifica and the Gelateria Amarillo on both ships. At Pizzeria Pummid’Oro, guests will be able to enjoy classic Italian pizza made with dough from 100 percent natural yeast, real mozzarella produced on board, San Marzano DOP tomatoes and select flours. For dessert, guests will now be able to treat themselves to authentic Italian gelato made with Agrimontana flavorings.
Once the upgrades have been completed Costa Magica and Costa Pacifica will reposition to the Caribbean for their scheduled winter cruises.
